How to start a Caterpillar generator?
1. Ensure the load switch is in the off position.
2. In manual mode, press the start button and let it run unloaded for 1 minute to confirm that all generator set parameters are normal.
3. Once the generator set is running stably and the voltage and frequency have risen to normal levels, close the load switch.
4. If using automatic mode, an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) is required; the generator set will start automatically after a power outage.
How to set up a Caterpillar generator?
The parameters of the CAT generator are set on the Caterpillar controller.
